Firearms and Firearm Components Seized

Officers from the WA Police Force’s Licensing Services, Compliance and Inquiry Team and the Australian Border Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Helena Valley. The search warrant was executed as part of an investigation into the importation of items used in the manufacture of firearms, as well as the procurement of large amount of manufacturing tools.

It will be alleged the following items were seized during the search warrant:

Two Adelaide men have each been sentenced to 12 years jail over a plot to import 18 kilograms of methamphetamine, worth up to $7 million, hidden in 4WD winches from Malaysia.

Sydney Man Linked to Plot to Import $8 Million Worth of Illicit Cigarettes

The investigation began after ABF officers detected approximately 800 hidden boxes of cigarettes in a sea cargo consignment at Port Botany. The goods had been declared as ‘brake shoe’. A deconstruction of the content of the shipping container revealed almost eight million illicit cigarettes, which had a total Customs duty payable of more than $8 million.

A 54 year old man has been arrested in Adelaide after Australian Border Force (ABF) officers located undeclared firearm parts concealed within his baggage on return to Australia from the United States of America.

62 Year Old Man Charged Over Methamphetamine Found in Mail Import

A 62-year-old WA man has been charged after authorities intercepted approximately five kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in a package from the United States.

Australian Border Force officers (ABF) in Perth found the illicit drugs after they examined a package described as documents. The box contained multiple A4 envelopes and 21 of those allegedly had a package containing a white substance hidden between sheets of paper. Testing of the substance returned a positive result for methamphetamine.

Perth Man Arrested for Heroin Hidden in Mascara Bottles

A 28-year-old Perth man was due to face Perth Magistrates Court on 7 August 2021, charged with attempting to possess approximately 440 grams of heroin hidden in mascara bottles.

On 3 August 2021, Australian Border Force officers conducted an examination of a consignment from South Africa which tested positive for heroin.

Australian Federal Police investigators were advised of the detection which resulted in officers executing a controlled delivery of the consignment to a residential address in the Perth suburb of Balga.

Two Perth men have been charged over the cocaine importation of 3.99 kilograms into WA, worth a potential $1.6 million, hidden in purses sent from the United Kingdom.

Australian Federal Police will allege the package of purses was delivered to the Willagee home of a 28-year-old man and he was arrested after he allegedly opened the consignment.

Five men have been arrested in Western Australia over the importation of 77 kilograms of heroin, which Australian Border Force (ABF) allegedly found in a consignment of industrial kitchen equipment which arrived from Malaysia.

Two Sydney men arrested for importing cocaine

Two Sydney men have faced Central Local Court after allegedly importing cocaine worth $1.25 million in two air freight parcels.

A 39-year-old Green Valley man and a 66-year-old Bonnyrigg man were arrested, after Australian Federal Police (AFP) investigators executed a search warrant at the 39-year-old’s home.

The investigation into the importations began in April after Australian Border Force (ABF) officers noticed anomalies within a parcel labeled as an electric food warmer. An examination of the consignment revealed three kilograms of cocaine.
